"Ahmed Falama and his wife, Shumba Ganamo, both work hard to provide a good life for their family. They are so happy that their many years of hard work and determination are about to pay off when they’re able to help build and then move into their first home in 2011. Their Habitat home will provide their family with a lot more living space, and is located in a great Commerce City neighborhood where their kids will be allowed to play outside, something that’s not possible now. Ahmed and Shumba currently live in a small 2-bedroom apartment in a dangerous Denver apartment complex. Knowing the dangers that lurk outside their front door, Ahmed and Shumba don’t allow their four kids outside without close supervision due to lack of safe outdoor space. Ahmed and Shumba think that the biggest benefit homeownership will bring for their family is the carefree freedom it will allow their kids, sons Abdulhakim (6), Abdurzak (4), Kamal (3) and daughter Zainaba (1)"
